Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Never throw away your e-waste (mobile phones, laptops, printers, computers, etc.) like your regular garbage!–Always reuse, recycle, repurpose, and reduce. Or, look for certified e-recycling companies like Fusion Waste & Recycling with practical standards for electronics recycling and reuse. Then ask for a separate bin and dispose of it there. We, Fusion Waste & Recycling, segregate the collected e-waste as recyclable, reusable, and disposal. For recyclable and reusable e-wastes, we collaborate with different retailers and participate in events to drop off the waste. But for disposal-tagged e-waste, we incinerate them to destroy it completely (i.e., 90%). Additionally, since this process can exhaust toxic gasses, we treat the harmful byproduct gasses first before releasing them into the environment.

You can dispose of concrete and construction waste (or demolition waste) by asking for a roll-off container from Fusion Waste & Recycling. We provide a 10, 20, 30, and 40-yard roll-off dumpster. After collecting concrete and construction waste, we use a ground-granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBFS) process to create a recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) that further gets used as a new construction material. For remaining waste that is not recyclable, we transfer it to the designated landfill. Moreover, our disposal process is safe, practical, and effective.

Fusion Waste & Recycling accepts yard waste. So, if you need to dispose of yard waste, apply for our curbside pickup or rent a roll-off container (if you can load the dumpster yourself). Then we will collect your yard waste like grass, leaves, branches, and trimmings. Furthermore, we use a composting method to reduce landfill waste and convert yard waste into nutrient-rich compost. Alternatively, you can drop off your yard waste at our facilities free of charge. That’s why we are dependable yard waste removal and management companies.

The formula to measure the cubic yards of a dumpster is–(Dumpster’s Length × Width × Height)/27. For instance, if a dumpster has dimensions of 9 feet (length) 3 feet (width), and 1 foot (height), then as per the calculation, 9 × 3 × 1 = 27 cubic feet. Then, 27/27= 1 Cubic Yard. A thumb rule of 1 cubic yard of debris covers 100 sq. feet with 3 inches of depth. To help you estimate the weight of the contents of your dumpster, here is the list that you can refer to–

Debris

Weight (lbs) per Cubic Yard

Weight (tons) per Cubic Yard

General Household 150 – 400 0.075 – 0.2
Concrete 3,500 – 4,200 1.75 – 2.1
Dirt 2,000 – 3,000 1 – 1.5
Yard Waste 400 – 700 0.2 – 0.35
